Jazzie Hair Studio is a hair salon located in Houston, TX. Owner, Jasmine Spencer, is the main stylist for the salon but also rents out space to other stylists.

The Problem
- Owner needed a new website that matched her current brand strategy.
- Website needed to have a fun look while emphasizing the high-class services provided.
- Owner needed more autonomy to update the site so she is not reliant on an agency.
- Owner already had a scheduling site and the website needed to work with the current scheduling service.

The Strategy
To give the owner full control over her website, it was important to find a hosting service that would be simple to use for her or anyone else she decided to hire to update her site. Since the owner had already transferred services to Acuity Scheduling, we decided to use Squarespace to take advantage of the integration features to provide a well-rounded website.
Along with creating a new website on Squarespace, the Acuity Scheduling page also needed to be redesigned to match the overall website. It was important for the scheduling page to look well on its own and when integrated in the Squarespace webpage.
During the design phase, I ensured to use some of the fun elements in her salon and use it across the website. The salon had a decorative wall where many customers posed for pictures after their hair service and posted on social media. I used that background for the website, being careful that the images did now slow down the load time.

Main color scheme chosen from company logo and adjusted for best view on screen.
The Call to Action
In the homepage of the website, 3 featured services were added to capture the attention of the viewer, all with a link to the appointment page.
Gold framing was created in Photoshop to add the fun elements requested by the client while keeping the website clean and professional.
